Vlad Zamfir
(Apr 2014 to ???)
DEVCON0 self-introduction
Vlad Zamfir was one of Ethereum's most visible critics of simplistic on-chain governance models. In Gavin Wood's 2018 Epicenter interview, Brian Fabian Crain grouped Vlad with Vitalik Buterin as a leading advocate for keeping governance more off-chain and socially mediated, and Gavin explicitly named Vlad among the people whose concerns about stakeholder voting he took seriously while designing Polkadot's governance.
